Gorilla habituation experience is a new tourism experience that the Uganda Wildlife Authority has introduced in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. This new experience is designed for only 04 tourists to spend more time with mountain gorillas in the mist.

On this experience tourists are allowed to join the researchers and habituators in Bwindi Forest at the Rushaga sector which is much known for having a lot of gorilla families.

The gorilla habituation experience is different from a regular gorilla trek in several ways including group size of participants, time spent with the gorillas and price from $ 700 USD to $ 1500 USD respectively.

The habituation experience lasts almost all day, and can involve some more difficult trekking at elevations of up to 7500 feet. Clients interested in the experience should have a reasonable level of fitness to participate.

The habituation experience is currently possible in Rushaga, located in the southern part of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and the families to visit include the Bikingi and Bushaho groups. For travelers taking this experience we recommend staying at Rushaga Gorilla Camp among other lodges in Rushaga side.

From gorilla habituation experience in Bwindi forest we offer routes that can combine the visit to Queen Elizabeth National Park for wildlife safari and then visit to the Kibale Forest National Park where you can experience Chimpanzee Habituation Experience and here we recommend you to stay at Kibale Forest Camp.
