When you Plan going on gorilla trekking adventure in Africa, Uganda, Rwanda & Democratic Republic of Congo, the first thing that should come to your mind is to secure a gorilla permit. These permits are sold from the government agencies managing the conservation of the mountain gorillas and their habit. For Uganda you can get this permit from the Uganda Wildlife Authority with headquarters in Kamwokya, the suburb city of Kampala, Uganda. Then for Rwanda it is the Rwanda Development Board with offices in Kigali and Congo from the Virunga offices in Goma.

In Uganda it is done in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park & Mgahinga Gorilla National Park and gorilla permit cost $ 600 USD high season and $ 450 USD low season (April, May & November every year).

Rwanda gorilla permit in Volcanoes National Park effective from 06th May 2017 cost $ 1500 USD from $ 750 USD and then in the Virunga National Park the permit cost $ 400 USD and also offers  a discounted price in Mid March – Mid May cost $ 200 USD.
