Day 1: Kampala – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking
Day 3: Bwindi Impenetrable – Queen Elizabeth National Park
Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Kampala
Day One; Drive to Bwindi National Park.
Drive from Kampala by road and continue south-West in about 8-10hrs drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will take a stop at the Equator for an enlightening talk plus a photographic chance. We will afterwards proceed to Mbarara where were we will take a lunch break.
Your journey will take you via Uganda undulating green hills via the highlands, also renowned as the ‘Switzerland of Uganda’ prior to making the last journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, habitat of the mountain gorilla Bwindi lies in south-western Uganda about 530km from Kampala. The park can be reached by road from several directions. Overnight at Lake Kitandara camp.
Day Two: Gorilla Trekking.
After morning breakfast, go to the ranger station at 8:00am with your packed lunch and all the required gear where the guides will lead you to track the amazing Mountain Gorilla, possibly one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth.
There are currently only almost 700 still existing in the world! In the afternoon rest at the camp or in case you are not so tied, participate in a guided village walk to interact with the indigenous Batwa Community. Overnight at Lake Kitandara camp.
Day three: Drive to Queen Elizabeth.
You will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth national park after calmly enjoying your breakfast. The park is 4 hours away from Bwindi National park. You will reach the park in the afternoon to have lunch and the later in the afternoon you will go for a boat (launch) cruise on the Kazinga channel.
The channel that connects Lakes Edward and Kyoga and it is enriched with a variety of wildlife to include birds. Overnight at Lake Kitandara camp.
Day Four: Game Drive – Transfer Kampala
Before dawn you will go for a game drive in the park searching for wildlife, to include predators and other nocturnal animals. After the game drive you will then drive back to Kampala and have a stopover for lunch thereafter proceed to your suggested end point.
