Affordable Gorilla Trekking Safaris in Uganda

After the caves, we embark on the hike to fort portal crater field hiking the thrilling Kyegwenywa hill to gain notable views of the crater lakes below and the overlooking Rwenzori Mountains. Retire from the activity and drive to Kibale National Park for dinner and overnight stay.

In Kibale Forest the briefing for chimpanzee tracking starts at 8am at Kanyanchu tourism center and after that, you head to the tropical lush forest of Kibale with biodiversity including 13 primate species including the black and white Colobus monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys among others and 351 species of trees plus bird species over 375 including the green breasted pitta. The track for chimps can last from 2 to 6hours. You are granted only one hour to be with them. The moment is rewarding as you observe then play, eat swing from tree to tree while taking pictures and videos of them. In the afternoon, a walk to Bigodi wetland is impressive offering sights of birds like the great blue Turaco and gonalek. Retire for relaxation with dinner and overnight.

Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park for about 2-3 hours enjoying the impressive landscape of Rwenzori Mountains standing as the third highest mountain in Africa. Precede the drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park to catch up with an afternoon boat cruise along Kazinga channel departing at 2pm. The hour boat cruise offers beautiful views of the channel waters. The school of hippos, crocodiles, water buffaloes, elephants and water birds, all are rewarding on this great adventure. You retire from this activity and undertake an evening game drive along the channel track in Mweya peninsular as you connect to Bush lodge for dinner and overnight.

We undertake an early morning game drive in the Kasenyi sector of Queen Elizabeth, an extensive wild game encounters like elephants, buffaloes, lions, warthogs, leopard, Jackals, spotted Hyenas, antelopes  among others. In the evening you can opt to take a nature walk in the Maramagambo forest for birds and watch the unique flora and fauna, retire for relaxation plus dinner and overnight stay.

Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with en-routing the Ishasha sector in search of the famous tree climbing lions where you can gain chances to explore the amazing creatures hanging on the tree branches. After this experience we can then proceed to Bwindi forest for relaxation at your specified lodge getting ready for the magical experience tomorrow.

Bwindi forest features approximately 480 mountain gorillas which present a remarkable opportunity to explore these critically endangered gentle apes. The gorilla trekking starts at 8am at Uganda Wildlife Authority headquarters of the park with a short briefing conducted by the park warden. This is followed by the trek to the forested strenuous landscapes of Bwindi with beautiful forest covers always covered by the mist in the morning. Once the gorillas are located, viewing these gentle giants is limited to only one hour, as you observe them by taking pictures and videos of them, but the entire trek can last from 2 to 7 hours. After the trek, we drive to Lake Bunyonyi through the fascinating Kigezi highlands for an evening relaxation plus dinner and overnight stay.
